GEN-300B Update #2.5: Founder’s Edition — The Beauty of Kurogaki

Hi everyone,

A little, but exciting, update with the Founder’s Edition.

Thank you, as always, for the continued support.

Knob Material

We’ve now finalized the knob material for the Founder’s Edition: Kurogaki Wood.

It was always going to be wood. That part never changed.

What changed was which wood felt unique and special to us.

Kurogaki is a naturally occurring rarity where deep, ink-like veining emerges within the wood, so each knob carries a composition that cannot be repeated.

The pattern is not formed by process, but by time. It appears unpredictably, and only in select sections of the tree.

That uncertainty is exactly what drew us to it.

Carrying the kind of natural complexity that doesn’t feel manufactured or exaggerated, the wood exists on its own terms.

Each blank is individually selected, then shaped and finished with careful control.

Nothing is imposed onto the material. The grain remains exactly as it formed — a natural record, rather than a surface treatment.

Each piece is inherently different. No matching. No pairing. No replication.

Production

We’ve secured a workshop that willing to work with Kurogaki Wood.

This limited to 20 sets for Founder's Edition.

The first prototype has been finished.

The outcome is exactly as we expected.

Each piece reveals a different surface and internal character — something we are intentionally preserving.
